  3. Software: CAML Light, version 0.6 of September 1993, hereinafter
  4. referred to as "the software".
  5.  
  6. The software has been designed and produced by Xavier Leroy and
  7. Damien Doligez, research workers for the Formel and Para projects,
  8. two research projects of Institut National de Recherche en
  9. Informatique et en Automatique (INRIA) - Domaine de Voluceau -
  10. Rocquencourt - 78153 Le Chesnay Cedex - France.

  12. INRIA holds all ownership rights to CAML Light version 0.6.
  13.  
  14. The software has been registered at Agence pour la Protection
  15. des Programmes (APP).
  16.  
  17. Preamble:
  18.  
  19. The software is currently being developed and INRIA desires
  20. that it be used by the scientific community so as to test, evaluate
  21. and develop it.  To this end, INRIA has decided to have a prototype of
  22. the software distributed by FTP.
  23.  
  24. a- Extent of the rights granted by the INRIA to the user of the software:

  26. INRIA freely grants the right to use, modify and integrate the
  27. software in another software, provided that all derivative works are
  28. distributed under the same conditions as the software.
  29.  
  30. b- Reproduction of the software:

  32. INRIA grants any user of the software the right to reproduce it so as
  33. to circulate it in accordance with the same purposes and conditions as
  34. those defined at point a- above.  Any copy of the software and/or relevant
  35. documentation must comprise reference to the ownership of INRIA and
  36. the present file.

  38. The user undertakes not to carry out any paying distribution of the
  39. software. However, he is authorized to bill any person or body for the
  40. cost of reproduction of said software. As regards any other type of
  41. distribution, the user undertakes to apply to obtain the express
  42. approval of INRIA.

  44. c- Guarantees:

  46. Please note that the software is a product currently being developed.
  47. INRIA shall not be responsible in any way concerning conformity, and in
  48. particular shall not be liable should the software not comply with the
  49. requirements of the user, INRIA not being obliged to repair any
  50. possible direct or indirect damage.
